Privacy Notice
This notice explains how YengKo handles information submitted through the private enquiry form and related pages on yengko.com. It is written for clarity and should be read together with any applicable terms published on this site. It is not legal advice.
This notice applies to the commercial place-decision website and its private enquiry channels. It is separate from the broader YengKoPilot Privacy Policy, which covers bookings, deposits, service operations and related services.

YengKo™ is a trade mark of YengKo (Pty) Ltd.
YengKo provides place-decision intelligence for employers and premium property firms. Vidare by YengKo is a separate free place-understanding foundation and is not the commercial service offered through this enquiry form.
What information the form collects
When you submit an enquiry, we ask for:
- Client type (executive mobility or premium property)
- Name
- Organisation
- Work email
- Role
- A short description of the place decision you wish to discuss
- Timing of the next relevant decision
- Confirmation that you agree we may use these details to respond
We may also receive technical and attribution details generated by the form or your browser, such as source page URL, UTM parameters when present, a hashed IP address for abuse prevention, and user agent information.
Please do not include employee, buyer or household personal data beyond what is needed to open a commercial conversation.
Why we collect it
We collect enquiry details to understand your request, respond to you, keep a record of the conversation opening, prevent spam and abuse, and meet legitimate operational or legal needs related to business enquiries.
How we use it
- To acknowledge your enquiry by email
- To notify the YengKo team that an enquiry has been received
- To review whether a private pilot conversation is appropriate
- To maintain operational records of enquiries and delivery status
We do not use this form as an automatic marketing subscription. There is no marketing opt-in on the enquiry form. Where marketing consent is required by law for a different purpose, it will be requested separately.
Legal basis
Depending on the context and applicable law, we process enquiry information on the basis of steps taken at your request before a possible commercial engagement, our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries and protecting the form from abuse, and where required by law. This description is provided for transparency and is not a claim that every enquiry is processed under every listed basis in every jurisdiction.
How we use service providers
YengKo uses carefully selected service providers to support secure website hosting, data storage, enquiry processing and transactional email delivery.
These providers process personal information only as required to provide their services to YengKo and are subject to appropriate contractual, confidentiality and security obligations.
International processing
YengKo is based in South Africa. Some personal information may be processed in other countries where YengKo or its service providers operate.
Where cross-border processing takes place, YengKo applies the contractual, organisational and technical safeguards required by applicable data-protection law. Further information about the safeguards relevant to a particular transfer may be requested by contacting YengKo at privacy@yengko.com.
How long we retain enquiry information
Website enquiry information is normally retained for up to 24 months after the latest substantive correspondence relating to the enquiry.
If the enquiry develops into a client engagement, relevant information becomes part of the client record and is retained under the retention arrangements applicable to that engagement.
Limited information may be retained for longer where required by law, contract, or where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights. When personal information is no longer required, it is securely deleted or de-identified.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect enquiry information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss or misuse. Enquiry submissions are received through a restricted server-side process. Raw IP addresses are not stored; a salted hash may be stored for rate limiting and abuse prevention. No security measure can be described as absolute.
Automated decision-making
The enquiry form does not make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. Submissions are reviewed by YengKo before a response is given.
Cookies and analytics
This commercial website does not currently use non-essential cookies or third-party analytics scripts. If that changes, this notice will be updated before such tools are introduced.
Your rights
Under POPIA and other applicable data-protection laws, you may have rights in relation to your personal information. Those rights, and the grounds on which they may be limited, depend on the applicable law.
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate, outdated, excessive or incomplete information
- Request deletion or destruction of personal information, subject to legal and operational limits
- Object to certain processing activities where permitted by law
- Lodge a complaint with YengKo or with the Information Regulator of South Africa
